Dr. Fichman began his medical studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at the age of 17 as part of Israel’s academic military program for outstanding students. During his studies he was an outstanding student and was selected to participate in a student exchange program in the United States. A last-minute change—perhaps coincidental, perhaps decisive—led to his placement in the Department of Plastic Surgery in Memphis, Tennessee, where he first developed the sense of professional calling that would accompany him throughout his career.
Following the completion of his medical degree, Dr. Fichman enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and served for more than three and a half years as a combat physician in the Givati Brigade. During this time he gained extensive experience in emergency medicine under high-pressure conditions and in real-time clinical decision-making.
His service was recognized with several awards for excellence, including Outstanding Physician of the Southern Command (2004) and the General Officer’s Award for Excellence in Military Medicine (2005). He later served as Commander of the Military Physicians’ Course at Bahad 10, where he trained and mentored new generations of military physicians.
Alongside his clinical practice in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Fichman dedicates a significant part of his professional life to humanitarian medical work, guided by a strong sense of mission and social responsibility.
Over the years, he has participated in several international medical missions. Among the most notable was a mission to India in 2015 with Operation Smile, an international organization that provides free surgical treatment for children and adults with cleft lip and cleft palate, while also training local medical teams.
In Ethiopia in 2019, he took part in an international mission with Facing Africa, providing surgical treatment for patients suffering from Noma, a severe gangrenous infection that causes extensive destruction of facial tissues.
An additional humanitarian mission is planned for Vietnam in 2026, focusing on surgical care for children with congenital facial deformities.

Dr. Fichman is married to Airy, whom he met in 2009 at Beilinson Hospital, during a period when both were working within the public healthcare system. They married in 2010 and are the parents of three children: Heleny, Neo, and Nina Lily.
For Dr. Fichman, family life provides a foundation of stability and meaning. His relationship and role as a father continue to shape his life beyond the operating room, reinforcing values such as responsibility, patience, and thoughtful decision-making.
He believes in being fully present—at home, at work, and in every encounter with people. Guided by this perspective, he maintains a routine that supports clarity and balance: time with family, physical activity, and meaningful conversations. For him, the ability to pause, observe details, and recognize what lies between the lines is as important as professional knowledge and surgical experience. Values such as trust, attentive listening, and integrity guide both his personal life and his professional path.

In 2007, Dr. Fichman began his residency in plastic surgery at Beilinson Hospital. After completing his residency in 2013, he pursued a fellowship in Taiwan, specializing in microsurgery and head and neck reconstruction. Upon returning to Israel, he was appointed senior physician at Beilinson Hospital, where he led the microsurgery and facial reconstruction unit.
In parallel with his work in the public hospital, together with his wife Airi, he established a private clinic in 2015. The clinic initially operated from their home, later moved to Herzliya Pituach, and is currently located in the “Kikar HaMoshava” building in Hod Hasharon. In recent years, Dr. Fichman has focused on complex corrective rhinoplasty procedures requiring advanced expertise in reconstructive surgery, alongside facelift surgeries and other advanced facial rejuvenation procedures. These operations demand extensive experience, surgical judgment, and precise decision-making in the operating room, with the goal of achieving natural, harmonious, and functional results that meet the expectations of each patient.
